Work Room Wednesday

These are the last Dragon Hats going out this Halloween. I have been taking a bit of a breather to catch up on hat making and get ready for the upcoming holiday push. I have so many ideas but not nearly enough time to actualize them. I am striving to get the ideas out of my head and into reality.

Etsy Tuesday

This Etsy Tuesday is devoted to Sadly Harmless

Today I feel like I have too many sticks in the fire, too many things on my plate, and too many geese in my gaggle.
My dad, one of the best guys in the world, has been demolishing my basement. This is in the laundry/ 2nd bathroom adjacent to my studio. I'm sure it will be fantastic when its finished...but right now (and for the past month) its completely messing with my sense of calm and productivity. Monday's To Do List 1. Hang new prints on the wall 2. DH in Olive 6-24 3. DH in Olive 2T-4T 4. DH in Olive 2T-4T 5. Laundry (socks, towels, my clothes) 6. Makes snacks for The Builder's lunch this week

Work Room Wednesday

I made three Adult sized hats during the day. Then in the evening every hat I tried to make turned into a 2T-4T hat :( I must've been crocheting too tightly. Back to the drawing board!

Etsy Tuesday

Fran of lyptis has the greatest hoodies! I'd been coveting this chocolaty, cowl collared hooded jumper and finally purchased :D

Lytpis garments have a timeless look with an avant garde edge to them. She currently has two dress designs (one featuring her generous cowl!), three jumper designs, and three shrugs.

It was difficult to choose between her hoodies and her shrugs!

Lyptis is creating her classic pieces in Melbourne Australia. My package had all these quirky little koala stamps that I just love! I'm a big fan of original packaging and Fran of lyptis

Research research research

Setting up a creative business requires time, creative energy, and research! One of my favorite things to do over the summer is stock up on books to inspire me throughout the fall and winter.

Sabrina Ward Harrison wrote Spilling Open, journal of discovery in a mixed media/collage style. I love the colors, the mishmash of stamping, handwritten notes, watercolors, crayon, marker, and text on each and every page.
