Design Book

Last night, I found my photo stickers and started working on a scrapbook style Design Book. I need to get more color pictures of my designs printed. My hope is that this book becomes a fun kind of catalog that customers can peruse at craft shows.

I started with my dragon hats, modeled by my beautiful baby girl, J. She's not such a baby anymore...These photos were taken of her when she was about 12-18 months old.

Tonight, I will work on some new scarves.

Post Apocalyptic Ear Flap Hats

This series of hats is based on the idea of how garments would be made after a disaster. Scraps of fabric and fibers would be cobbled together to create warm and colorful clothing.

This ear flap hat was pieced from small bits of yarn I've had left over from larger projects as well as upcycled sweater fibers.

The Post Apocalyptic Hat shown here is in the Mystic colorway featuring mauves, purples, deep blues, and a bit of sea green.

Work Room Wednesday

I've been organizing my new studio! Every Wednesday will be devoted to a new little bit I've added.

This week, I received a shipment of Silk City cones in burgundy, creams, and periwinkle. This thread is intended for use in a knitting machine but looks awesome when I combine it with hand dyed sock yarn and recycled cotton!

Clomping and Lurking

I've begun clomping around my small town, looking at the history of weather beaten, neglected buildings. Soon my lurking will result in crocheted beautification!
